Vice President

Trisha Widowfield, Esq.

Trisha Widowfield is a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office of Haliczer Pettis & Schwamm (HPS). Trish handles complex civil litigation matters, focusing her practice in the areas of medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury. She has extensive experience across the State of Florida representing individuals, families, and corporations. In September 2021, Trish served as trial co-counsel, to win a $6.46M award for an HPS client, the largest wrongful death medical malpractice jury verdict ever reported in Volusia County, Florida history.

Trish spent the first decade of her career defending hospitals and nurses in malpractice suits. Having this past experience has afforded her the unique perspective of understanding both sides of a medical malpractice case. In addition, prior to attending law school, Trish was a claims adjuster with USAA and Gallagher Bassett.

Trish is currently the Vice President of Ms. Esquire and is frequently invited to speak on panels and write articles on the subject of female legal professional empowerment.
