Katie (O’Brien) Hinkle is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator and Qualified Arbitrator with more than a decade of experience litigating complex civil matters throughout Florida. As the founder of Florida Dispute Resolution in South Florida, Katie now dedicates her practice exclusively to mediation and arbitration, helping parties resolve disputes efficiently, effectively, and outside of the courtroom.
Katie brings a uniquely strategic perspective to mediation, drawn from more than ten years of experience as a trial attorney. She has represented insurance carriers, businesses, and individuals in a wide range of cases, including negligence claims, premises liability, property damage, and commercial disputes. Her litigation background gives her a deep understanding of both the costs and challenges of trial, which she uses to guide parties toward meaningful, lasting resolution.
Katie earned her J.D., cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, and her B.A. in English from the University of Florida. She is admitted to the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
