Ms. Polanco attended Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, in Orlando, Florida. While a student at Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, she participated in the Juvenile Defense Clinic, representing at risk youth living in extreme poverty and unstable home environments with mental health issues in Orange County, Florida. She was a member of the Barry Law’s Women’s Lawyer Association and a member of the Barry Law Trial team.

Prior to practicing state worker’s compensation, Ms. Polanco worked at a personal injury firm representing civilian contractors injured overseas, seeking worker’s compensation benefits for civilian employees working outside the United States on U.S. military bases or under a contract with the U.S. government for public works or for national defense, under the Defense Base Act.
