Cesar Murillo the CEO of Emergent Global Investments (EGI), a Wealth Management , Financial Planning and Investment firm based in Miami, FL and serving a global base of individual and corporate clients in the US and Internationally.
Mr. Murillo is an experienced investment analyst, asset management and corporate development professional. Mr. Murillo has over 20 years of investment experience in the areas of due diligence, FinTech, business development, consultancy and investment/data analysis, working with institutional, corporate and private clients in developed, emerging and frontier markets.
Prior to EGI, Mr. Murillo was focused on Emergent Global Consulting (EGC). EGC and affiliates develop software, technology and resource services in both developed and emerging markets. Prior to EGC, Mr. Murillo was Managing Director and Head of Business Development at Overture Financial Services, a FinTech and investment firm serving a global base of institutional clients. Prior, he was the VP and Regional Director for ING Investment Management Americas serving institutional, family office and wealth management clients in the US, Latin America and the Caribbean. Additionally, Mr. Murillo has worked as an institutional client specialist with Chancellor LGT Asset Management serving government, union and corporate pensions in the US and Caribbean. Prior to his work with investments, Mr. Murillo worked as a Research Associate on joint projects and epidemiological investigations related to substance abuse, narcotic distribution, AIDs and intervention strategies with the National Development Research Institutes (NDRI) and the Beth Israel Medical Center, Chemical Research Institutes in New York City.
Mr. Murillo graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego in May of 1994 with a dual degree in Political Science and Public Justice. Mr. Murillo also attended graduate studies in Public Policy/Finance and received a Certificate in International Affairs from New York University, a Certificate in SAS Programming from the SAS Institute and a Certificate in Private Equity from the Wharton School/Wall Street Prep.
Mr. Murillo is a licensed Investment Advisor, holding the Series 65 license. Additionally, Mr. Murillo holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) license and, through this association, is a member of the Investment & Wealth Management Institute.
Mr. Murillo is active in the community having been involved in promoting arts and education in the Miami community. Including acting as a former Board Member to the Casimiro Global Foundation, and currently volunteering with organizations in support of human rights and sustainable development goals.
