Barbra Anne Stern, Esq.

Barbra has a unique perspective on how to handle and approach employment claims. Employment cases currently being accepted include: wage and hourviolations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Florida Minimum Wage Act; discrimination, harassment and retaliation in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008, the Equal Pay Act, the Florida Civil Rights Act; worker’s compensation retaliation; violations of the Florida Whistle Blower Act; and violations of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

Barbra obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1996 and her law degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2001 with honors. She has been an active member of the Florida Bar since 2001. Barbra was appointed by Governor RickScott to serve on the Florida Elections Commission in 2012 and was reappointed in 2016, serving until May 25, 2021. She is also the current Chair of the Broward Performing Arts Center Authority. Ms. Stern has been in practice for over 19 years in the State of Florida handling cases in both state and federal court. Throughout her career, Barbra has also represented employees in State Court, Federal Court, before the EEOC and Florida Commission on Human Relations and in arbitration.
